If you're looking for a good curry in the shepherds bush / east Acton area, 'Perfect Spice' are THE BEST by some distance. Not only that, but they're also the cheapest. A relatively new business as at October 2009 when we first tried them, we were a bit sceptical after having a succession of poor and ludicrously expensive Indian takeaway curries in the area. Bt we quickly realised that this place is the best kept secret in the area, and if you try it, you will be back every time! Perfect Spice offer a wide and varied menu, but the freshly cooked Inidan food really is superb. The spice blend tastes authentic, the seasoning is always perfect, and, as a bit of a cook myself, I recognise this as top quality cuisine at great value prices compared to some of the other jokers in the area. The first thing you notice is that the curry containers aren't swimming in oil / ghee, like almost every other curry house around here. And there is always a pleasant disparity in flavour; unlike some places where you order three different curries and just get three containers of the same spicy brown mush. Perfect Spice obviously take a lot of care over their food. They are a family run business. Apparently, the chef has worked at several top restaurants, and it shows. Perfect Spice will also deliver KFC style fried chicken, chips, salads, kebabs and all manner of sundries - again, all at superb prices. The service is also polite, friendly and uncomplicated. I took the time to write this review, because I am sick of being fobbed off and paying up to eight quid a dish for a stingy portion of sickly double cream mixed with curry powder masquerading as 'curry'. 'Perfect Spice' deserve to do well; because they obviously care about service, value, and high standards. If you live in this area of West london, try them - you won't regret it. | ||
